I grew up on Medicaid, and from a young age I helped my family navigate the healthcare system because I was the one who spoke English. I translated paperwork, interpreted at clinic visits, and watched my parents struggle to care for my grandparents and my sisters while working tirelessly just to keep the lights on. Those experiences gave me deep empathy for the millions of family caregivers balancing work, financial pressure, and caregiving, often with very little support. That's what drives me to build Abby Care, and why our mission is a deeply complex one, requiring clinical quality at the center and deep partnerships with regulators, health plans, and health systems.
